Catfish and the Bottlemen: Back at it again

Updated: Apr 3, 2019

Once again the Indie/Rock band from Wales hit back with fresh new music to excite us with the new album, which is soon to be released, called 'The Balance'. The growth of this band has been incredible to watch from the speed and reach that they have gained in such a short amount of time is quite simply remarkable. But, they would never have gotten any of this attention without their true ability to form music that is pleasing not only in the rock scene, but in the music scene in general. In 2016 with the release of their second album 'The Ride', the band were put on a whole new stage with the enormous success across the pop industry with the song '7'. At the time of this article the song has accumulated 59 million plays on Spotify alone. With all this success though, the band have been concentrating on their growth through tours and have waited two whole years to finally give us a sneak peak into the album to come in late April of this year. The three singles 'Longshot', 'Fluctuate' and '2all' have been well praised with the band's unique sense of indie/alternative originality with the twist of pop lyrics and drops. In general, 'Longshot' has been the most popular with it's steady pace from start to finish in order to bring a modern dynamic to the indie genre. The catchy riffs that we have come to love from Catfish and the Bottlemen appear once again that could get a whole crowd going. So, although we've had to wait two years for new music from them, it seems that it may have been worth it.
